Basic membership fees entitle members to all regular and holiday services, use of the Temple for life cycle events (including burial rights inCongregation Rodef Sholom’s cemetery), educational programs, and social functions.  Membership in Sisterhood and Brotherhood is free for the first year of Temple membership. 
 
 
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES 2019/2020
 
Minimum membership fees are:
  • Family Membership — $920
  • Young Family Membership — $625
  • Single Membership — $540
  • Out of Town Membership — $360
  • Associate Membership — $155

Young Family Membership is Adult couples under the age of 35.  At the age of 35, the membership will transfer to a Family Membership. 
Out-of-town members must be a full-time resident living outside a 50 mile radius of the Youngstown-Warren-Sharon-New Castle area and have a primary synagogue affiliation, but wish to retain burial rights and receive the Temple Bulletin.
Associate members have full membership status in good standing at another Temple within the Youngstown-Warren-Sharon-New Castle area but wish to be supportive of Rodef Sholom.  They receive the Temple Bulletin and are welcome to attend all services and programs offered by the Temple.  They are not, however, entitled to burial rights in the Rodef Sholom Cemetery.

No one will be turned away from membership for financial reasons.  Please contact Sarah Wilschek, Executive Director, (330) 744-5001 or swilschek@congregationrodefsholom.org, who will be happy to work with you to reach an arrangement concerning dues (including payment plans and discounts) in a completely private manner.  It is more important for you to be a part of our community as a member, and contribute what you can, than to not renew your membership at all.  We sincerely appreciate your support at whatever level you are able to give.

DUES RELIEF/ FINANCIAL AID
In keeping with the guidelines of the U.R.J., no one is refused membership because of financial difficulties.  Requests for relief may be made directly to the Temple Treasurer, and are reviewed by the Executive Board.  Requests should be made in writing and sent to the Temple office.  All requests are kept strictly confidential.
 
RELIGIOUS SCHOOL
Religious school fees are handled separately set by the Commission for Jewish Education and payable to it.
 
A.R.Z.A.
Members are encouraged to join A.R.Z.A., the Association of Reform Zionists of America, which supports the building up and strengthening of Reform Judaism in Israel.
 
BROTHERHOOD AND SISTERHOOD
Membership in Sisterhood and Brotherhood is free for the first year of Temple membership.
